Syra Smith July 14th, Kevin Griffin July 18th @ NVIM

Tomorrow evening (July 14th) our good friend from the East Bay Meditation Center, Syra Smith, returns again to NVIM to lead our meditation and discussion. Syra plans to focus on how we can work with sensations in the body (Vedana) and how these sensations if not examined give rise to our conditioned response to the world.

Syra is the founder and Curator for Oakland’s Dana Café (, a monthly gathering offering transformational teachings at no cost to participants. She co-leads and organizes East Bay Meditation Center’s ( weekly Teen Sangha and is a mindfulness and meditation instructor with the Mind Body Awareness Project (
